Technical Service Engineer
Maxcess is looking for a Technical Service Engineer to provide on-site and phone assistance to customers of Fife and MAGPOWR products.
The ideal candidate for this position will have an Associates degree in Electronics; 2 years experience as an Electronic Technician; or a combination of education and relevant experience. Electromechanical training and/or experience is also required. This candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong PC and 10- key skills. A strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.
The responsibilities of the Technical Service Engineer will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide customers with on-site and phone assistance in system troubleshooting and repair.
- Provide customers with purchased on-site supervision of system installation and startup services.
- Responsible for coordinating the repair of equipment returned to Oklahoma City. Initiate and maintain system for reporting repair services to customers.
- Coordinate activity associated with warranty repairs of equipment. Maintain records and provide reports to product division and engineering management on warranty repairs; their causes, extent, recommended design changes, etc.
- Request and review engineering laboratory tests required to duplicate and analyze field equipment problems.
- Support Assembly department personnel in troubleshooting system faults found in preshipment testing. Recommend to product division and engineering management improvements in final systems tests. Maintain continuous surveillance of testing methods.
- Provide support and backup to other Customer Service personnel and Field Service Engineers in handling both application and equipment field service problems.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of formal troubleshooting procedures used in operating manuals.
- Responsible for development and presentation of internal training curriculum for all product lines in the areas of maintenance and troubleshooting. Assist in the field training of all Field Service Engineers.
- Provide assistance to Field Service Engineers in presenting on-site customer maintenance seminars. Develop audiovisual materials and all necessary training aids.
