Warranty, Returns and Repair Policies

WARRANTY
Manufactured goods are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for

  • End Users: a period of one (1) year from date of shipment
  • Certified OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers): a period of fifteen (15) months from date of shipment.
  • Composite body air shafts: a period of two (2) years from date of shipment. The two (2) year warranty is for the composite body material only (with or without metal sleeves).

During this period, Seller will repair, replace and/or provide on-site labor, at Seller’s discretion, to remedy any defective products. Products returned under warranty are to be shipped to Seller’s designated site, freight prepaid.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY

  • Routine maintenance and adjustment as specified in the equipment instruction manual.
  • Failure due to improper installation or inadequate maintenance by the customer.
  • Malfunctions that occur as a result of customer-supplied interfacing.
  • Physical damage resulting from an accident, misuse, or abnormal conditions of operation.
  • Attempts to utilize goods under conditions that exceed designed capabilities.

For products determined not to be covered by warranty, Maxcess will provide a time and material repair quote for your consideration. NOTE: When the Buyer requires on-site warranty service and the product failure is due to one of the above-excluded items, the Buyer will be invoiced for the service call at Seller’s standard current service rates plus actual travel expenses.

PARTS
Replacement and/or spare parts are warranted to be free from defects in design, materials, or workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from shipment. This warranty does not include on-site labor.

SERVICE
Purchased service is warranted for ninety (90) days from date of service. When the equipment performance failure results from the same problem as corrected during a service call, Seller will perform on-site service during the warranted period at no additional charge to the Buyer.

REPAIR
Please note that all repairs will be performed on a time and material basis. Upon inspection of the product returned, a quotation will be supplied of the estimated time and materials required to complete this repair. All time and material quotations are quoted with a +/- 10% variable. Repair quotes exceeding 50% of the current replacement value of the product will include a replacement price. If Buyer chooses not to proceed with the repair, an inspection charge will be assessed to Buyer’s account. If a new unit is purchased, this charge will be waived. Repairs are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from date of return shipment.

RETURN
Please note that only current design and currently stocked items are eligible for return. Parts must be new, unused and in original packaging. Under no circumstances shall products be returned to Seller without Seller’s written permission, an authorization number and shipping instructions first obtained by Buyer.
The exchange or return of parts and/or equipment will be subject to inspection in Seller's plant:
All returned parts will include a restocking charge. The only exception is an exchange due to Seller error.

RESTOCKING CHARGE

  • 10% - Stock items returned within thirty (30) days of ship date.
  • 20% - Stock items returned within one (1) year of ship date.
  • 30% - Stock items returned after one (1) year of ship date shall be reviewed individually by Service Department in Seller's plant.

EXCEPTIONS

  • Roll Savers:  25% restocking fee if item is new and unused and can be restocked.
  • Non-stock items deemed suitable for stocking, as determined by the Seller
  • Fabricated items, such as Shifta-Roll stands, offset pivot guides, rollers, chucks, etc., will be reviewed individually and have a minimum 50% restocking charge.

There may be cases in which the Seller will not be able to accept the return of the equipment for credit.
Buyer pays freight both ways unless due to Seller error.
